@ade wagar
I deliberately send you pictures taken in different conditions. So as I told you at the beginning outdoor one are most of the time fantastic. Indoors one (less light) are mostly average and good but not nearly as outdoor.
About size. I noticed that and have no explanation. In my phone and PC the same pictures are 350 to 700 kb and at most 850kb but yesterday when I uploaded them as attachments in my inbox, some of them show to be 1.2mb. Really strange for me too.
OK if you need more I will send. I believe you now have the sence of P990 camera quality.
edit Just now I uploaded some of them as attachments on my laptop and I didnt notice any increase in size. So what happened last night is a big mistery for me. Anyway believe me I dont have any camera but my P990))

The largest I have is around 600 kb I think. But if you take outdoors then they will get bigger

I'll send you some nice apps, you'll be satisfied:)
I just talked with a friend of mine who is a real computer geek and told him about last night experience with pictures size. He said that the only explanation he can think of is the fact that I uploaded it directly through web mail and not through outlook or similar. So he thinks that something probably get wrong with web mail server, specially because I got a few 'java script error' during upload. Otherwise it is mystery for him too.

Based on my personal experience I wholeheartedly recommend P990, can't tell you how satisfied I am. I am also P series lover and this is by far the best of it. I am always amazed when think about how many things I do with this little device.
But off course somebody else may say the opposite, so finally the decision is yours. But shakti ananda means you will eventually decide to your heart's satisfaction, no doubt::))

@ade_wagar
Far from knowing hindi but do have a sincere respect and admiration for the whole culture:)
P990 does support animations but everybody want to get rid of it:)
Here is why many of P990 users have Tweak Peaks application instaled:
quote:
Tweak Peaks prevents transition effects and animations, so that menus open instantly, scrolling in lists becomes speedy, and the overall experience of using your phone improves. Finally you can have a truly fast UIQ3 phone!
end of quote.

I think he he is asking about animated GIF files, something like a screen saver.
he is not asking about the transitions.
I have seen in this forum somebody being able to use the GIF as background, but I doubt P990 supports it, as I can't make it work it on mine.
a search will reveal further threads on this topic.
