Agreed, but has i said, it is not normal that P990/M600/w950 restart frequently right now...i just made the test, and spent 4 days with my P990 without rebooting and with only SMAN running on background (not swiss manager). My only problem was not being able to run Insterstellar Flames after some time, because the memory still leaks...but all other functions of the phone worked without problems, i only had the care of flushing not used apps with SMAN

@Boinng
Need I say more?
But as Ares said, memory leak is still there so occasional manual restart is recomended.

@ koto - I only hope that after another reflash my M600i will be capable of that. At the moment, since I debranded and flashed it to the latest firmware, it's completely hopeless - routinely running out of memory and crashing after two days max. Can I ask what you do/don't do to achieve stability in your phone? Do you manually shut down applications regularly, or have Swiss do that for you? Or is it left to its own devices?
I've been told my problem is a bad flash, but I'm still struggling with how that can even be possible - why has SEUS loaded corrupt software onto my phone?
I'm dissapointed with SE over all of this - not least the fact that even on properly working firmware there's still a memory leak, and reboots are still expected. The P990, and especially the M600 are old phones now in product terms - their firmware should be mature now, polished. Instead, they still feel like prototypes that might break at any minute - if they keep on going (as yours has) that's amazing, and if they fail that's just to be expected.... it really shouldn't be that way.

Nothing special really. I like smpro and tweak peak. Flip is off (for good), most of the time level 3 of memory reclaim since I dont need main and activity manu often. And I have a habit to close unused apps.

It is advanced call manager. That, together with magic message manager, is my main application. Since I do a lot of talking and messaging I don't know what would I do without these two. Time saving indeed.

That is really impressive koto. Now i need some help from you. I allsow have this ACM and have done a blacklist of some phone numbers. The thing is this, when a number on my blacklist calls me it does what it should do. I go to ADC and se that it stoped the call. BUT, i cant see the number of the call. Only that it has stoped a call. Is it the same on your phone? For me, i would like to know what call it has stoped. This is really bad

Unfortunately it's the same. Is it a bug of UIQ3 version of ACM as it worked on my P910? We should report this to the developer. Thanks for raising this question.

But see, running software that automatically shuts down the phone's menu just to save memory would be considered special by a lot of people - I mean, that's an agressive intervention into the normal operation of the phone's OS that just shouldn't ever be necessary on a normal consumer product that, out of the box, would never allow the user to do that. And what has it gained you - 12 days? 13 days of operation, that we're all gasping in awe at? I mean, let's all get real here - 12
weeks shouldn't be that unusual for a mobile. My old P910 certainly went for many weeks between cycles, and I never thought a thing of it.
When I came to UIQ3 after years of using UIQ2 I accepted the fact that there were bugs that still needed fixing, but that was six months ago now and although you can rightly argue that things have improved, the basic fundamental problems are still there. The OS is still unstable, still unable to manage itself and its resources properly, and still hopelessly unsuitable for use in an everyday consumer device that users rely on daily. That situation is absolutely appalling, and indefensible in my opinion.
I've been an Ericsson/SE user for about 6-7 years, and generally been delighted with the five previous phones I've had, but as much as I love the idea of the M600i, in practice it's an utter failure. And given SE's compounded failure in addressing that, in the many many months that the phone has been on the market, I have to seriously changing brands in future. In fact, I'd be an idiot not to.
