> Why Was the W900 Abandond by SE?

When i had my white one on Vodafone the problem i had was could not get rid of the buzzing in the earpiece when making a call it was so loud. But it mostly happened when phone was closed. When my phone crashed whilst listening to Walkman player and screen went white afterwards Vodafone updated the software and the buzzing got worse. Its the sound you hear when your phone interferes with your tv or radio. They call it digital breakthrough. SE seems to have overcome that as i noticed it on a few of their phones. Used to happen alot on Nokias but not anymore.

I Belive the main reason is they knew it wont gonna get a Best seller after all wiz such price and they couldn't go low coz of the high components plus if it was still avilable do u think we could of go to such devices like w850 , w810 and so .. Its juz an Opinion

im more impressed that it was out in the uk for almost a year before it was disscountied? well it was where i used to work. obviously only on vodafone, but still. a year is a pretty good life for a phone. think of all the phones that last about 6months b4 they get replaced! plus the w900i was and still is the best SE handset

I used to own W900i White.
This phone is great in functions (3G, Great MegaBass, 2.0 MegaPixal Camera with AutoFocus, Video Records, Internal 470MB memory + Expansion Slot, Large LCD Screen) ; But very bad in Battery life & size, and a bit lagging)
I think Sony Ericsson discontinue this phone just because they want to vertical their future products lines (walkman and cybershot phone). It's too good as it's own all the good functions.
Now their vertical products are built without 1 function,eg like without megabass in cybershot phone, and without autofocus in walkman phone.
