> Which should be my new phone? K750 or W810?

A thing that I don't like with w810 is:
On every ericsson/sony-ericsson phone I had owned, you could use the volume buttons to enter the 2nd/3rd character directly when typing sms's
(using the 'Standard abc' language)
I use that a lot, (and yes, I know about t9)
K750 has that, but w810 does not do that (unless I missed it).
It is a pity that newer phones do net have the good features of older ones. (another example is the K700: when it is in standby mode and you press the volume buttons, the clock is displayed in dim. When you press the button for a second time, it shows the clock brighter so you can read it in the sun). K750 goes bright immediately...

I still kind of "love" my old k750 though - though now my e 61 rules...but every so often I "steal" my wife's w810i... It's way better than k750 if you get past the nostalgia... Of course k750 is very very cheap now, so it IS an option... But be real...the k750 dispite it's greatness has aged a noticably ...
Of course what you really should buy is an e61!!!

I'd go for the K750i. You can get the

player on the K750 using FAR.
W8 a minute... now i see that the media player in the K750 is totally different than the Walkman media player. The walkman media player is more ipod-like, i like it better
So, you mean i can upload the walkman media player to my k750 with far?

You can use a programme like Wotanserver to upgrade the K750i with W800i firmware, only costs a few Euros (about 7 for one credit).

Tough call! I love my W810. I hate carrier branding.
Why do you lose the warranty if you reflash a W810? Isn't it still covered by

if you let one of their repair centers perform the reflashing?

If money is not an issue get the w810, edge for internet, walkman for music, good camera and great looks.

I have a K750. I flashed it to a W800i. it is a great phone it has the w800 media player which is the same as the W810 one. I updated it using the W810 acoustics so it sounds as good as the acoustics. The W810 still has better speaker and better display.
To tell you the truth. If I were to choose between K750 and W810. I would buy the W810. why do all that just to try and get a w810 equivalent. and the joystick really sux on the K750. I have repaired it twice now. it is just plain painful.

To the original poster, I'm sorry I said FAR manager. You jave to use another program and SEUS to change a K750i to W800i.
FAR manager is to change the walkman skin, remove operator logo, change the acoustics drivers, mess around with the camera... etc etc..
The K750i --> W800 "upgrade" is FOC and can be done in less than 1/2 an hour. I have done it to my K750i.

Its really very very easy. Just follow the instructions there to the T and you'll get the

firmware on your K750i.
Cheers,
