we wanted the telco to come in and do a line test because the server was intermittantly dropping faxes. The faxing comes in on the modem (received by windows server fax software). The fax machine sitting next to the server is also a printer, and that's it's main task; it's not used to receive faxes.
So the telco guy thought the reason my customer was getting fax receive problems was because the fax machine was set to manual answer. I had set it up this way on purpose, because we need the server to receive the faxes not the fax machine (the fax machine occasionally sends faxes but usually the staff send faxes from their workstations through the server.) The fax machine is supposed to NEVER receive faxes, but the telco guy saw that the fax maxchine was set to manual answer and ASSUMED that was the problem. He left without even doing the line check that we asked for!

I had something similar with a card in a Razr I think this is a formatting problem, try formatting the card in the phone then try formatting it on your PC after two or three attempts the Razr finaly saw it as a 1gig card (and it help about 990meg) previously it said it was only 350 meg!

I was making a comparison to exemplify the point that the NZ SE centre who assumed that the P990 doesn't support 8GB (probably because they've never seen a 8GB stick) is the same type of incompetence as the case I mentioned.
And now we've been of topic discussing it, but I WAS on topic with my statement, thank you very much
