I dont quite understand what your saying. So are you saying that its better to be on the safe side and restart it every few days?

Ive never done such things in the past with any phone but i havent got this yet so ill wait and see.

Thanks though for the reply.

Yes i mean to restart the deveice whenever you can in 3 or 4 days, i don't see any smart phone around that will keep going on for ever without reboot. keep watching u may find what you need. best of luck

I have not once gone past 5 days. Usually, it's either the media player or the browser that causes the phone to "restart to improve performance." I have a /2 on the latest firmware.

I received one or more sms yesterday, read them but the green led still blinked as if I didn't read the sms' so I had to restart it - a silly little bug but still a bug.

Regarding this, you don't have to switch it off. Just do a system test on the LEDs and it'll sort itself out without you having to reboot the phone.

Acutally I had a cue for it, you can go into secret menu by pressing ( R * L L * L ), after go inside service menu > service test > vibrator , then exit the menu, your vibrator will be resume normal, this method also can solve the led light crazy on flashing after u click open those sms.

Hi guys, I restart my phone after every 2-3 days of use. Thats because some applications dont work as affectivly as they should and the available RAM becomes too low. The longest uptime I have had was around 5-6 days.

Well its better all smartphones be restarted every few days when they are new so that they can run properly. I remember I used to restart my old p910 every day otherwise it used to create some problem or the other. But after its last firmware upgrade, it runs for month without any problems.

As for P990, i want it to have atleast 20mb of free ram at startup (its 15mb right now) so that I need not restart it every 2-3 days.

With Flip Off, enter the Phone application, then Jog Dial Up one notch, * (x on the keyboard), Jog Dial Down two notches, *, Jog Dial Down one notch, *.
