I too bought the K700 - LOVED that phone, for the wife though. Best $650 I've ever bought - brand new 4 weeks after release.
I then got the K750 but almost 1 year old. Doing the same with K790i in less than 2 weeks. I still need a good smartphone with WiFi.

then i got t610i and my friends were like totally zapped they just loved the phone
then came k700i and by that time nokia had come out with extension of memory cards which made again sony ericsson out of the market not really but..it was going slow
then i did a big jump to p series and boy... everybody loved it ...we all loved it.. yes am talking abt p910i.. and p910i beat nokia's communicator market in india ...it become huge , u go to any big exhibition all the business ppl started using p910i
my p910i got old and resale value was gettin lower too so i sold it and switched to w800i walkman phone again it impressed everybody because of its walkman features and hats off to the headphones and the sound clarity and loudness through the speakers of the w800i
came back to p series again p990i again.. i was pretty impressed with uiq 3.0 cause i thought it fulfilled all my small needs which uiq 2.0 didnt but again it failed to impress others because of its bad firmware and now its too late that people can realise that this phone is a GEM... lost my phone due to my stupidity jumping inside the pool and later i realised i was carryin the phone too...(i was drunk guys..) i really miss p990i
2 days back got m600i but i have to say m600i has a better uiq 3.0 interface than p990i anyday...very nice phone tho i have to update the firmware... again back to topic it has really impressed others in india at least ... reason... lack of wifi and camera

Yeah I remember getting the T610 and converting a "die hard Nokia" friend of mine to SE. He bought a T610 and it broke down (joystick) and he took his father's T610. The next phone he bought was the K750, that also died because of the joystick. Now he carries a.... K800.
When I witnessed that process (and I didn't push him to get SE) I new SE had the potential to become the next Nokia. Seeing how Nokia used to produce extremely flawed phones (8210) and had a following that bought an equally flawed follow up model (8310).

@bart- I know exactly what you mean. I'm one of those Ericsson fans who had lost his home. Still miss Ericsson. Anyway, after my Ericsson r320 I bought the t610- what a phone! Followed it up with the k750i them p910i. I still use the above phones together with my 3 Ericsson phones.
I do think however, that the p1 has soul.

In my country Nokia is #1 and SE #2,but in this 4 years SE was growth so fast, the big booming phone (by sold quantity) was k300, k500, k700, p910, k750, w800, w550, w810, m600 and some lowend non camera SE phone.
For the comparison of SE n NOKIA user in my country from what my eyes can see :
2003 : NOKIA 80, SE 3, the rest other
2007 (now) : NOKIA 50, SE 25, other 25.
MOTO doing well too, i can give him 18,so do with LG,doing quiet well. NOKIA's really lost much their market share this 2 years
