well yes the W610i does lack the capability to give out natural colors but only in artificial light; the open lenses i don't think it is a problem, i have a W900i for over a year now and i also have open lenses and they do not present any scratches, the screen does but the lenses do not, i take medium care of the phone.

Cons:
- The main disadvantage of the w610i are the keys which are very slim and hard to press and even harder to press for the ladies.
- Poor colors and quality in artificial light
- Talk time a bit smaller than w810i

Pros:
- Better CPU (W810i - 117 MHz | W610i 220 MHz)
- Slimier
- Walkman player 2.0
- Polyphonic 72 channels more than W810i
- Larger Phonebook

u forgot w610 can store 1000 messages while w810 only 200

And also the sms storage of the W810i can be increased if wanted.

You also left out the fact that w610i has flashlite themes pre-installed.
From what it seems, this phone is only worth getting as a new phone and not as an upgrade from w810i. This is most def. gonna be my next phone.

oh and Hlcn Twst, w610i does have externally accessible m2 slot, look at the pics! I think its the k550i which needs the back cover removed to access m2 slot.
And m2 prices will fall eventually, they're only expensive cos it's a new format. msproduo prices were v. high when it first came out too..

Right now, W610 is naturally the better buy. But for someone with a W810, there's not enough push factor to get a W610.

when i tried my friend w610i, i didnt like the "joystick". i feelt to plastic...........w810i have the best "joystick" and probably the best keypad, of all phones (only k810i who is close).
w810i feels more robust & solid then w610i.

i should take w810i.....no doubt about that !..........(Black color of course).

@QVGA
Nicely put.

And when you put them side by side, the W610 looks almost like an x-ray of the W810. Maybe it's just me

I just had in my hands a w610, and to be honest, for me those buttons were just too hard to press and control, they are so slim and small...I like phones with nice buttons that you could press without seeing them with no problem.

W610 HAS A SMALLER LENS THAN W810
That is a signifcant difference. Camera is important in a good cam phone.

that is why i'm gonna stick to my w810

Hmm if it wasn't much more expensive to anyone WITHOUT the W810 its a better upgrade.

Pros:
* A2DP support
* M2 standard card (later this year MS DuoPro will begin to be harder to purchase as sources deplete) - just a hunch.
* Walkman 2.0 Player, Better skins
* not sure whatelse.

Cons:
* ugly Navigation pad.
* keypad for numerical keys look to slim to be function for fast & heavy SMS/ light emails (3 paragraph long emails, 20 word sentences, 3-4 sentences).
