oh come on! you dont think ericsson knows better than to make gray candybars in 2007? surely they are not that stupid. W and K works for SE due to lack of technological advancements in their handsets, that wont be a problem with ericsson.

@umerhayat- i don't know, the razor was one hell of a design at that time. I'm just not sure if it could work now. On the other hand the walkman is being exhausted, I don't know how long it would last for SE.

why should they. Sony manage the camera/Mp3 (Cybers./Walkm.) part and Ericsson manage the rest. its the most perfect combination....
(dont forgett that Ericsson is one of the oldest phone companys in the world. they should never leave all that behind them).

The main thing that i used to hate about Ericsson phones was how slow they used to be when navigating menus but they seem to have still carried it over from Ericsson days to SonyEricsson. Does anyone know what i mean by the SLOW CHIP problem which still doggs their handsets still. I hate it and surely Sony would have fixed that problem but i still used to love old Ericsson phones. One thing thats definately improved since Ericsson days is signal strength as when SonyEricsson started it was much better. But i am still a Nokia man for time being until SonyEricsson or Ericsson come up with something new and exciting. Though it would be very interesting to see what both companies would come up with now if they were divorced. Lol.

Just think, would a phone advertised as ERICSSON MUSIC MOBLIE sell as well as a SONY WALKMAN PHONE. Would an ERICSSON SNAP SHOT CAMERA PHONE sell as well as a SONY CYBERSHOT CAMERA PHONE.
I dont think they will seperate unless they want to take the path of someone like sagem, or worse simens.

overall SE is still behind samsung and motorolla. it'd be wishful thinking they'd overcome nokia soon. its not like nokia's dead.
like you say everywhere, SE is focusing on mid-range phones, and whilst they're doing that they cant hope to catch up with nokia. i'd say give them another 5 years and we'll see.
