While it is better to have as many options for applications software as we desire P990i with more options will be a nightmare! Believe me, it will restart non-stop for performance improvement even though only couple of applications run at a time. Probably you have noticed that more the applications installed in a Windows PC slower it will run even though they are not running at the same time.
I migrated from WM to P990 and the application I missed is eWallet.

So because the P990 is a piece of shite, not capable to multitask properly, there shouldn't be more UIQ applications... Interesting logic.
Btw, why there's no any call recorder on UIQ? Is this some hardware shite?

The lack of call recorders and answering machine software for P990 has been discussed before. Use the search. (The short answer is 'not possible'

)
I really miss something like SmartAnswer I had on my old Nokia 6600.

I agree one of the big problems with P990 is it seems to b a stagnant peice of kit, the phone itself is doing me very nicely but im actually having to do without stuff i had on older P phones, it just niggles me a bit, someone asked me other day to use my Guitar tuner app, i had to say "sorry that was my old SE phone, i'm afraid nobody could be bothered to release a version for my P990"
even though i have had it 8 mnths. i will do my best to like & buy the next SE PDA/phone but will it be just too far behind the competition, i think i will only buy it if it has "thought predictive texting" a "3D imaging sytem" & a screen that is bigger than the phone itself !

most of the software is either very similar or useless and not even working properly
those software programs are not made by

, microsoft or whatever big company, those are made mainly by programming students or programmers without much experience
do you think you can perform better?

Withou denying there are missing gaps on the UIQ3 software library (VOIP, profiles, today screen), is this software useless/does or does not work properly:
aquacalendar
documents to go
quickoffice
vimio tv
opera
pdf+
projekt
swiss manager
x-plore
handyday
shozu
agile messenger
mobiola webcam
tomtom
SMS diary
Smartmovie
Mobipocket Reader
Jabp
Message Reminder
Lubisoft Automobile
LCG Jukebox
Handysafe
Handyclock
BestCrypto
Advance Call Manager
Dreamconnect
krally
Skyforce 1 e 2
Warring Nations
BIA 3D
etc
Knowing SE and Moto will launch much more UIQ3 devices in the coming year, the situation will improve, so i really see the situation so bad as some say...

Hi all,
Strange as this is i have to agree with Ares their are indeed some very nice apps in that list. Although not enough for some people, i don't buy it has anything to do with the Symbian signed and extra security S60 is under the same conditions and platform yet has many more apps.
UIQ needs more devices with increased spec to grow and attract developers and lets face it whilst UIQ3 was still so unstable it didn't encourage developers either as it stabilizes it will be easier for them to develop on it. IMO.
