SE W950I CELLphone.
This phone is plague of bugs, but........another cellphone 100% bugs free?
For me, only my very prehistoric motorola 120T TDMA(yes, actually working WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS) an my very VERY VERY VERY older nokia CDMA(gigantic, like a medium shoe box and.......yes, actually working WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS).
Buy this W950i and my BLUELINK BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES in november 2.006 and never work with this phone. With last firmware for this cellphone, This headphone work, but the volume control in the w950 not work, the EQ not working and chopping every minutes(this headphones uses Low Complexity Subband Codec(SBC CODEC) and are AD2P,HSP,HFP capable, comply with bluetooth specification 1.2 and work perfect with other 8 very diverses devices(like my pioneer car stereo, my home dvd, my pc, my laptop, my samsung mp3, My Palm tungsteng E2 ,etc, etc).
And Yes, SE fail in despicable way in this and anothers points, for example, i try all and never conect internet over bluetooth.
And no explanation all over internet and oficial sites.
Ah, my BLUELINK bluetooth headphones are branded by Zeevo Inc. , actually part of Broadcom Corporation.

I was hoping to get some help here. I am currently considering purchasing a 950 for 300 bucks (brand new). For those who have used the phone with the final firmware, is it worth it for me to go ahead and buy the phone?

well, i'd say it's up to you.
i haven't had any problems with this phone ever since i got it and newer firmwares seems to be improving the way this phone performs. unlike the other SE UIQ phones that are getting new bugs with every firmware upgrade. only thing i hate about this is the keypad, i'm having difficulties using it, its too flat for me, tactile feedback ain't good enough. better try out the phone itself first, before purchasing it.
it really is a shame that SE dropped the support for the firmware on this phone, M600i and P990i.

Thanks alot for your help. Lets say im just using it as a music player and phone, and not so much for the smartphone capabilities (this will be my first smartphone ever). Would you then say its a good choice for 300 bucks? Oh, and a2dp runs fine on the latest fw?

In Indonesia, W950i is now less than USD 250. Very very cheap..when you sell it, it is USD 170. Crazy.
