michael,

Thanks for the reply. But how do you set it to "phone mode" so it does not charge from the USB? Never seen this option

It's on one of service menu! Use the SE sequence to show it. BTW, I don't need to have this turn off. Just make sure you charge the batt full, took it off for few min and push the C button BEFORE you plug in the USB cable to your phone.

Have you consider trying another computer? Don't use USB hub, etc.

hanugro

Already tried it with another PC as mentioned.

My current PC does have a hub, but I am not using it for the cable.

What is the usb (computer) said when you plug the usb cable? Maybe you should bring it to SE service centre, sorry.

You go into control panel, select Connections, and then USB. There you switch to Phone Mode and DEselect 'allow USB charging'.

After you have done EXACTLY as I described and it still won't work, then there is nothing I can think of that could be done.

Remember when starting, restart the PC always!

Good luck!

Hmm I don't have "connections" in control panel. Am I missing something?

Cheers

OK I got confused now. I think he recommend to turn off USB charging from the phone. Go to the 'hidden' service menu with >* joystick right,
Anyway, I never have to turn USB charging off to make the the phone ready for flashing.

Make sure you already got the USB flash driver (it is different from USB phone driver). The USB flash driver is universal (does not depend on mode unlike phone device driver).

Whatever happen your USB should notify you something when you plug that phone. Go to device manager and see under USB whether the phone is recognised or not. If not try to update motherboard BIOS to latest and check whether your motherboard maker provide newer driver as well.

You said you try other computer though so it may be best to bring your phone to SE service centre and ask them why your phone always turn on.

Last thing, you push the c button on the phone right? (sorry for asking but some ppl think it is C button in computer keyboard) Also keep on pressing C button until SEUS tell you that you can let it go. The SEUS is pretty clear on this so I doubt you got it wrong.

Edit: Actually one of the poster above said you need K800 driver which is wrong. You need USB FLASH driver NOT phone specific driver. Get it from here http://www.wotanserver.com/USBFlashDriver.exe However newer SEUS version should install it for you anyway and the computer should complain about no driver if you don't have it.

hanugro,

Have had a go at accessing the service menu and managed to display it, but unfortunately the "service settings" menu and USB option is not available on the k750i.
