Quite simply because it isn't, all these increased Data speeds are still running over the 3G Network and utilising it's bandwidth. Real 4g is still some way off especially as they are being able to get this sort of performance out of their already built Network. Setting up 4g will most probably require an entire Network roll out whilst 3.5 G is upgrading and using the existing Network.

The Data market is the only growth area left in mobile devices and as finally our devices will start to deliver a true Internet experience due to the increased speed and quality of our devices along with fixed price data deals it is also relatively affordable.

When I spoke to T-Mob Business Team earlier today, they said that 3.6mbps would be rolled out by October (presumable *finished* rolling out if you take into context Dogmann's opening post) and that 7.2mbps will be rolled out by the latter half of 2008.

That totally contradicts what i was told will try again tomorrow to get further clarification, but i was told they were going straight to 7.2mbps before the end of this Year.

Though i don't doubt what Dogman has been told, but 3.6 is already available no t-mobile in the London and a few other selected locations. 7.2 is in the pipeline and for the whole part, major towns and cities will have it by year end. 3.6 will be nationally available also by year end-so both sides are true to a degree! Just a side note for all those thinkin of usin as main net connection, the USB modem gbp a max speed of 3.6 and works with pretty much any OS, whereas the compact 2 card will run upto 7.2! Also, keep am eye out later this year for a wifi version later this year which will allow you to share your connection (currently available in Germany)! Me :-)

Thanks for the extra info it's appreciated all i know is that with the way things are progressing i think next year will be yet another big leap forward in what we see and get from both our devices and network services.
