@haynesycop is right, avoid the sleeping pills if you can. They are only a temporary solution and it wouldn't be good to become overly reliant on them. Exercise works, I do suffer from the same problem getting to sleep every now and then, but I've realised that going for a run in the evening almost always helps.

Thanks guys. I'm definately gonna get some pills today. Il try the milk aswell. I heard it relaxes you.

But I think the best technique is the counting phones! Im falling to sleep FOR ONCE! just thinking about it!

Be very careful it is easy to come dependent on them, i'd only try them as a last resort if everything else has failed and only if your doctor advises them.

or you could simply use the positive out of this and actually do things instead of lying in bed thinking about sleeping (may sound liek im taking the micky michael, but im not)....... as i said before the biggest problem generally is the fact that people 'think' about the fact they need a certain amount of sleep.....

i agree with lau though, sleeping pills are a big no no! unless prescribed by your docs

Why not try natural remedies, i've heard lavender is supposed to be good. Try going to a local shop and see what they say.

I think you should do some kind of training. If your body is more tired and you would sleep faster i think. Why not do some running after work. Don't sleep in the afternoon too.

Hay guys

I understand this maybe one of the most strangest threads. However, now this problem is starting to p*ss me of.

I have always been a light sleeper. Ever since I was a kid, I would always go to bed and it would take a good half hour, even an hour to go to sleep.
However, now it is worse. I could go to bed a 10:30, and end up sleeping at 3 am. All because, my body just cant switch of.

On some ocassions, I have just been awake, all through the night and last night, that happend. Again..

I am seriously considering, going to the doctor, and hearing what he has to say.

Any of you got any tips I could use in sleeping?

Very much appreciated.

Regards
