Then how do you explain this DSLR photo quality?
This is a CMOS camera. No jagged edges and very little noise produced.(It's not called DSLR for nothing.)

We talked about bulk before. How large would your camera phone be if it had a full-frame (35mm) sensor? And would it be cheap?

I'm sure there's good CMOS sensors small enough to fit into a mobile phone now only thing is about price, which Plank mentioned in this topic. I think Plank has only been exposed to good CCD sensors and have not come across laudible CMOS sensors so he hopes that CCD sensors replace upcoming SE phones lolz and willig to fork out the extras into that upcoming CCD phone.

If there were good CMOS sensors, why didn't SE put one of those in the K850i, their new flagship Cyber-shot model? I have seen the sample shots and those are still just good enough for 4x6 prints.

Also, if they released instant best quality camera phones, there will be no future improvements in future camera phoneswill have nothing to hype about. Now you know why SE (and other companies) improvise their phones bit by bit (from digital zom to future optical zoom). If they came out with a super-duper phone right now they will not earn in the future. So now I can also predict future SE phone come up with embedded GPS, Wifi. Its only matter of time and how the market goes along with it.

Actually a good point. Makes sense when looking at i-mobile and how they made a very, very good camera phone, the 902. They do not have a corresponding digicam company that would loose on sales.

I doubt very much thats the k950's housing, I also doubt it will be called that. It will likely be the k900, also, that is a slider lens. If the k850 has auto lens, why would that, have the old slider lens?

CCD is better........end of story. (all good digital cameras (nearly) allways have CCD). CCD takes clearer pictures.

As plank said, all good compact digital cameras have CCD sensor, and I think they would use CMOS if it had the same quality, but they don't. I also hope that SE will produce a good CCD sensor camera phone, it doesn't have to be 5 MP. Imagine a K750i with CCD sensor, and xenon flash, with K800i screen resolution,and all the improvements from the new phones, or K800/10 with great CCD sensor.That would be something to see!
