I have had on many an occasion a case where I've had a recorded delivery parcel (or two!) that the postman has just put in our porch whilst we've been out - and either signed it himself or sometimes i think not even bothered to do that! I know it's not special delivery but they still require a signature on delivery.
Could be possibly the postman in this case has done just this, and then the parcel has 'dissapeared'?

@sammy-boy
could be the case... but imo if gregface gets the sig, has proof of delivery, then the buyer will have to raise the issue with the RM... and gregface should raise a dispute with the buyer.
u have a naughty postman... u know, they're not even supposed to hand u your mail if u r standing on the street in front of your property... let alone forging your sig!

Agree with Lesleyann, BTW Scott works for RM perhaps you could PM him for clarification, PP will squirm out of their obligations if you give them half a chance.

Okay folks, today the Royal Mail website has updated the EPOD. (Electronic Proof Of Delivery) - showing that the item was delivered to the correct address and signed for by the addressee shown on the parcel.
So I have submitted this to paypal and Im hoping that they will clearly be on my side this time. Either the buyer is a scammer or the postman is dodgy, either way, I have done nothing wrong so should not lose money.
Thinking about blocking the phone aswell so that whoever does have it now, gets no use from it. Question is, can I block a phone which I bought from ebay second hand? If so, how hard is it?

Think you maybe able to block it as long as you still have the IME, not sure.

I assume it will take weeks if not months for paypal to decide, so by that time, this thread might be deep down in the esato basement of threads.

Just had another call from the buyer, he wants me to make a claim, he says that he has proof of delivery he wants to post to me and is requesting my address. He says he lives in a block of flats and that his postman has admitted to him that he signed the name, but has not admitted to taking the parcel, as far as I'm aware this is a sackable offence, which I told him, I told him to goto the post office/depot (which he claims is right next to his house) and ask to speak to the manager, until then I would not be making a claim.
Then he immediately told me that he would be taking legal action against me and reporting me to ebay/paypal (even though I have done nothing wrong), and slammed the phone down.
Question now is, should I make a claim against the postman or not? I don't beleive he is a scammer yet, but I had doubts about him before the deal was complete (he wanted to pay with just a random paypal payment outside ebay), though I made sure he paid through ebay...
How do I make a claim that the postman has nicked it?

i really don't think this is your problem.
according to RMSD they delivered - that's the rock solid info they have given u. if the postie was corrupt that's an issue with RM and your buyer and he should raise a claim against the RM
imo u should be looking into the ebay pages on how to raise a dispute when a buyer has withdrawn payment after having received the goods. And did u read that bit on the CAB website? right at the top of the page it describes ones rights as a buyer, and to be honest they r v few... but in this instance this works in your favour...
