I just solved my own question! you hve to save the number with the area code or else it won't display the name etc.!

Have a look at this thread on Hackintosh:

I used the 8 character solution and now have all my number stored in international format and the caller is recognised when they call and text me.

Recommended apps with description

Summerboard - Theme your iPhone
Etch-a-sketch - What it's titled
Apollo - messenger for iPhone
Customize - you can edit almost any graphical part of the phone
MessageAlert - Shows a tiny 'game', 'message' or 'music' icon on the top right of the bar

What are you all doing to stop reduction in quality of photos when you transfer it to the iPhone?

Mine look terrible! Quality is seriously reduced...

No just use the 7 or 8 digit version, it will work fine with those, I tried the 10 digit, as that is technically what UK residents should get away with, but didn't work so opted for the 7 digit version, which works a treat.

How many people do you know who's last 7 digit of their numbers are indentical?? lol

I've noticed that the quality for photos is reduced as well Amnesia.

Just used VisualHub (Mac app) to re-encode the music videos I had on the iPhone so I can store a few more as well.
