Forget about UIQ!
I have WM and UIQ3 too (FS N560 and P990i).
Get a real platform, WM.

@razec
You really are having a laugh WM6 has much faster processors than UIQ3 devices so even if it is more processor intensive it has the power it needs now in WM6 and it's devices as they have all continued to improve their specs unlike UIQ3 which is still using 2005 ish tech nothing new besides some extra much needed Ram.
As for your quote of
"aside from that UIQ 3 has more logical interface and usability is far superior than WM."
You are joking or just being extremely sarcastic as you can't possibly believe what you are saying can you? Or maybe to you the illogical hiding of things is just an extra game of UIQ3 to keep you entertained. I suppose the delay in even simple things like opening messages in UIQ3 is also a positive and these are the comments and complaints being made by users of UIQ3 not my words but users.
Don't get me wrong i am no great fan of WM although have no hands on experience of WM6 as yet, but by all account's it is greatly improved whilst it seems most peoples opinions UIQ3 is it is still a step back from UIQ2. Hopefully the next version of UIQ and some new hardware may readdress the balance once again but to try and claim UIQ3 is superior to anything but an abacus is stretching it unfortunately at this time IMO.

Ha. My exact feelings on WIFI and networks in general are not repeatable in a public forum such as this. How about "WIFI is a *&^%$£"!!$"£%!!! load of !"!!"^^%$$^&**&%$£^%&^%*** that nobody actually understands?"
On the subject of WM6 versus UIQ i'd say both have merits and both have their problems. Personally I'm more in favour of UIQ over both s60 and WM - although its current incarnation is something of a pig to code for. The basics are there for UIQ to really develop into something special - the question is if the new touchscreen s60 devices that are on the way will work as well as UIQ, I suspect the Nokia have really stolen a march on both Microsoft and SE with the development of its interface being able to actually touch the controls directly may well lead to UIQ being the next PALMOS i'm afraid.

How hard is it to connect to a wifi-spot? I don't mind being tedious afterall tedious just breeds familiarity. Does it take a long time to find the connection?
Well, I could easily start a huge long post on wlan. Scans run quickly, the p1 will connect to just about any wlan router supporting wifi b, BUT and this is a biggie - lots of people then have problems. Mostly this is down to the wlan router config. And dont ask about youtube or power save, or streaming media. This is not the fault of the p1 - some bits are buggy in the wlan drivers and the streaming - but some of it is. The transmit power is way too low, the tcp/ip stack seems to have some issues with low quality connections, some of the timeouts are too low etc etc etc
On the whole I have found the p1 no more or less difficult to get up and running with wlan than any other device i've tried. They all suck **** if you ask me, coz wifi is a crock.
(There, i feel better for that!)
[edit : I really hate networks, they have been a pain in a**e since before the days of coax cable and token rings and they're only getting worse if you ask me]
