@dogmann,

I'm neither a Nokia nor an SE groupie. As I have said that before I think both are equally worthless. That's why I have both the P990i and the E61i.
And I'm planning to sell one of them to buy the TyTN II. Which one shall I take?

well, this is getting right off topic and I know exactly where its heading... as usual...

not every discussion about faults (of any manufacturers phone) has to end up in discussing and comparing quality between manufacturers, or where members have to have a go at things said by other members in other threads with "I told you so's" or whatever. Its been done over and over and we know the views of you members who regularly take these threads away from their specific discussion topic and back into this tired old discussion.

can we not just simply discuss the issue raised, determine how much of a problem it is, try to find a work around and hope that SE (or Nokia or whoever) is reading and reacting to deal with the issue?

we all know that due to short development cycles, competition, margins etc etc that phones initially have problems, we also know that we expect companies to bring us new and exciting devices quickly.

Some of us choose to accept these at release knowing that most manuacturers will release firmware updates while others prefer to hold off until the phones is more stable. It is not for anyone to critise another member for their choice either way and yes, the early adopters should be thanked for finding and reporting the issues, but at the same time these early adopters should not complain bitterly when issues are found as its expected.

Its also not unreasonable for a member who doesn't have the phone to raise a query like this thread before purchase so they know what they are getting into. That is what we are here for.

I'm going to start removing posts or locking threads where this happens in future so can we please STOP taking threads in this direction and get down and discuss the actual issues raised in detail.

If you really must have another discussion and comparison about quality between the manufacturs then raise a specific thread for it please.

thanks!
