Everyone else is having their 2 cents, I'm english so I'll have my penny's worth! Lmao..
Every site has it's wasters, but Esato appears to be fairly good in that respect. If some A*****e wants to get personal and up someones nose, won't they find themselves being outcast and ignored?
It can't be that hard to follow a few simple rules, can it?

I've been wishing people would do this for ages but to no avail!
It annoys me when a thread debating another manufactuer's product or a comparison thread turns into yet another SE Vs Nokia flame war
Most notably MINE which was locked... all i said was if nokia was giving in to SE and yeah, but thats in the past. People should keep there coments to themselves... but sadly we just dont live in this kind of world where everyone is "nice". Doesnt really matter though... just get on with it i say...

@KCC4
Sorry but what did you expect with a title like
"all i said was if nokia was giving in to SE "
Really what did you expect to happen as obviously this would cause a two sided argument one from the SE fans and one from the Nokia fans it was a recipe for disaster from the start and also not even logical but as you said lets not go there again.
But as for this comment
"People should keep there coments to themselves.."
This just makes no sense at all as if no one made any comments the forum would be dead.
@all
Now i will admit i can be pedantic and sarcastic and even extremely argumentative at times, but i have never dared suggest someone should leave ESATO because i don't agree with their opinions. I just wish i could say the same is true about others telling me to leave all because they don't agree with any criticism of SE. I am not perfect and don't pretend to be and if i am being insulted some times i don't take the higher ground but retaliate which i know i shouldn't.
I am also aware of just how many complaints Masseur receives about my post's but as yet have not been cautioned or warned about my actions but at least i argue with facts not emotions and this is the problem as some can't bear to hear any criticism of SE and this is based on emotion not facts.
We should all learn to debate on the facts and try and avoid hurling insults at each other but this needs everyone to abide by the same rules to work.
Marc

I agree 100% with what you guys are saying. Gone are the days where fellow esato forumers had an open mind, a sense of humor and could discuss things in a civil manner. Nowadays, I rarely post but just lurk in the background and just read.
I try to stay out of the way because I feel there is not much substance to be discussed, just mindless bickering and time wasting. Posts back in the good old days were more informative than posts these days. Nowadays I just feel that everyone has an opinion and worst part is they think they are right all the time and defend it to death. Most posts in the forums these days are just opinions only. Gone are most of the technical and informative stuff. :rolleyes:
Such is how I feel about Esato now. Its been that way for the past year or two now.
Anyway, that's just my 2 cents. YMMV.
" Most posts in the forums these days are just opinions only"
if esato used to be a place where people couldnt or didnt post their opinions, then i'm glad i wasnt a part of that time. And people have the right to defend their opinions. You're making esato sound worse than it is, where as i think its doing great.
