Hi all.
I've just put an 8gb MicroSD in my K850 to no avail.
My laptop was not registering it and, upon checking my "phone status", the phone isn't recognising it.
From the posts on here, it should work. Any suggestions to get this working please???!!!

There is one card slot, but you can use either M2 or MicroSD cards in it...except my 8GB SD is not working!

I've tried my 8GB MicroSD in a mate's Nokia N95 and it works fine.
Therefore, it appears that the K850 doesn't support it...unless someone out there knows how to get it working...?

Hate to butt in but. I've got a 6GB SanDisk MicroSDHC in my SE K850i and it works absolutely fine. I worked fine out of the box. I didn't need to format or anything. I've copied 2.5GB of mp3s on it and in use it seems to run as quick as the 512mb M2 that came with the phone. Although in media player directory listings are slower. I believe that is a known bug.
If the 8GB MicroSDHC doesn't work in your laptop I'd suggest that you try another reader. Eg the inbuilt one in my Fujitsu Siemens laptop cannot handle MicroSDHC cards. However the card performs fine with the SanDisk MicroMate USB reader than came with my card.

Many apologies, as I should have made it clear that my laptop didn't detect the 8GB card when I tried to transfer music to it (i.e. the card was in my phone and the phone was linked to the laptop, via the transfer cable).
I realise now that I should also have mentioned that the card is one that was supplied with a Nokia N95. As I understand, this is likely to have GPS maps loaded onto it that are, presumably, specifically for the N95 - I am guessing that this is a likely cause of the problem???
I am no expert (you guessed that already, right?) but I presume that I will need to remove this software and/or reformat the card to get it to work?
Only problem there is that I don't currently have the means to do it, as the card didn't come with an adaptor or reader!
What do you think...am I on the right track???
