> P1i battery runs dry in less than 12h
Bookmark topic
Hello,
I'm having the same problem with my P1i. Battery depletes completely in about 12 hours. This started happening about 2 weeks ago but I can't figure out why. I haven't changed any configurations and close all apps I am not using. Still, the battery discharges very rapidly.
I have R9H004 firmware.

This was hapeninmg to mine not long ago. I took the battery out and left it out for around 10 minutes. After i put it back in and started up the phone there problem was gone.

Just saw this on another forum, pls have a try:
"There is a way to do this, but it's really hidden away! Go into 'Tools | Control panel | Connections | Mobile networks'. Tap on the top-of-screen menu and choose 'GSM/3G networks'. From the dialog that pops up, choose 'GSM only' and then see if it makes a difference to your battery life!"

I am sure it was the bad 3g area coverage. If it was cold outside, too, that's why it happened. It happened to me, too, today because it was minus 9 outside. I was at 75% procent battery and after just 6 hours it was just 10% and i didn't make ANY call or e-mail, or anything!

Just in case you haven't figured this out yet, have you done any messing around with themes? When I first got my phone and started playing with themes, I installed an iPhone theme which included a "resources" directory placed on my memory stick. This replaces certain icons to make everything look better (such as the battery icon, the "bars", etc.)
After doing this, my battery would drain in about 12 hours (often quicker depending on what I was doing). It seemed limited to only a few themes, but once I toasted the "resources" directory on my memory stick (do not touch the resources directory on the phone), everything was back to normal.

I've had my P1i with 3G on, BT on, made 20mins worth of calls, listened to the radio for an hour, Wifi on for 20mins browsing and have been 'fiddling' with it virtually non-stop to set it up and learn my way around... I still have 49% battery after 24hrs.

I also usually have everything on,make at least one hour of calls per day,and check email and sitea almost all the time and I still have at least 2 days of stand-by.

This is a typical UMTS issue, turn it off. I have had this problem with all 3G phones, it is quite usual that users who do not need 3G all the time, turn it of for better standby times.

I don't mind, 1 or 2 days is enough for me.
