Hi,
I encountered the same problem some time ago, and reported it to Psiloc using some form on their website. I got a standard reply, saying they were aware of the problem and a next release would fix it.
I used Crystal Japanese for a few months without any problem at all. I only ran into the bug you described after updating my P1i to R9J005/R6F41, and reinstalling Crystal Japanese. Not sure if the update for the P1i is to blame though, since I simultaneously updated Crystal Japanese from v1.50 to v1.51.
In any case, this sucks. I paid for the software, but I can't use it. Having no task manager is just too inconvenient. I tried using Swiss Manager as an alternative task manager, but wasn't entirely happy with that either.
BTW, as a sidenote: since that update, I've also often encountered an Etel Client Faul (8) error while starting up the phone, I believe in the Main process. Have you seen something similar?

First of all, you wouldn't know how happy I felt myself after reading your post. I'm glad this is not something only about my phone.
I haven't paid for the product yet. But I'm thinking of it. But after they fix this problem or maybe after a new released P1 flash update. For now, I'm using the trial version and as you wrote in your post I'm using Swiss Manager with autostart at startup. But after the trial period I'll uninstall it and wait for the problem to be fixed.
I've never had any problem as you described about Etel Client Faul. But I've been using this software for 2 days. So I can't say anything for now.
By the way, it seems you are also using japanese on your phone. It would be good to share the softwares we are using about japanese like dictionaries or kanji softwares between eachother. This could be helpful for eachother.
For exemple the reason I had to install Crystal Japanese Loc. (I didn't know any program like this program existed before) to use MSDict Japanese Dictionary. A good dictinary. I suggest you to try it if you need it.
I'll be looking for other products too. And if you have any useful software please let me know what and what for you are using in Japanese.
Thanks for your reply...

Hi!
I think this is a good idea...

and perhaps a new thread with a title like -
Japanese support and Japanese Learning Tools on your mobile....
Actually, that title sounds naff

but maybe we can think of a better one.
I am using a TyTn II and would gladly write about my experiences with trying to find a device that supported Japanese and what I found for the TyTn II..

Great,
I've found a site where you can download Kanji learning software. All of the files are Java files. I'll send the exact address from my home computer when I go back home

I don't actually have a UIQ3 phone anymore and I never got round to installing this. But from what I can see for M-FEP3;
You sign and install the M-FEP3 and then you get the M-FEPL dictionary and install that.
Quote:
1. Uninstall M-FEP3 when you install the older version. Uninstall it after releasing M-FEP3 by "Text input" without fail when you uninstall M-FEP3.
2. The DevCert is signed to SIS file before it installs it. (If the DevCert is not signed, it is not possible to install it. Please refer to for the method. )
3. M-FEP3 of a new version is installed.
4. Install the dictionary of M-FEP for favorite size. When the check on "Install C Drive" is removed when installing it, it is installed in D drive.
5. Reboot the device. (Operation is not steady if it doesn't reactivate.)
6. It comes to be able to use M-FEP3 by choosing "M-FEP3" from "Text input->Handwriting" after it reboots.
