Seems like it's deliberately programmed to piss people off sometimes..
..Anyway, I meant, just try accessing any random external address, and you'd be relocated to the internal address (with the form, probably).

Just a quick update, I tried my iPhone in McDonald's tonight. When I opened Safari, it took me to the Cloud logon page automatically. I entered my name email and postcode, and then I was connected. The whole thing took about 45 seconds. It was pretty fast, too!
This post is just to let you know that it does work; I'm not sure why it doesn't work for everyone though.

Note of advice. If you do manage to finally connect and decide to send an attachment, make sure that attachment file is in your internal memory. I used to have a big problem sending attachments before, then one fine day I managed to do it and the only difference this time around was that I sent a file from my internal memory instead of the external one. Never had the problem again ever since I've been doing it that way. Another problem might be the McD's wifi settings. I can never stream with free wifi from, say, Starbucks, but I can stream fine with the default SE 3G settings. I also have problems loading pages with my network provider's 3G settings. So as for your problem, my bet is on McD's wifi settings and not your P1

I've been using WIFI on my W960 wihout any problems, both at home and starbuck (free with no login),
wireless@sg (free with login ID), Raffles city mall (free with no login)
see if we have the same steps...
1) enable WIFI
2) click "scan"
3) select the connection u want and click "connect"
4) go to Internet accounts, group tab
5) click on internet and make sure that the new connection is added to the group and priority set to 1
6) click save and try launching the web browser.
7) u shd see the default web site (sony start page or google, depends) or you shd see the login page (in my case for connecting to
wireless@sg)

that's that...
good luck~!
Best!

I've just been to my local mcdonalds and had no problems with the wi-fi. Did a bit of surfing, synchronised my email and even had a play with fring - had absolutely no problems with my W960i.
