It's UI looks really nice QVGA... Looks and presentation wise it is indeed in competition with SE UI...
But I still like and prefer the SE UI more... He He He...

The topic isnt about its D-Pad, its about the UI.
May I remind you that the D-pad is actually part of the UI?
No its not. E950 also had this D-PAD yet ran the same old UI thats found in every samsung.

I must admit, I am impressed by the "Soul's" UI. Looks better than anything I've seen so far, SE or Nokia.

@gola & crossmatched
I owned a w900i from the time it was released, n even till now i got it!n i never owned a samsung fone(my friend has it).but wen i send a file via bluetooth, only thing i can do is use walkman, everything else becomes accessible which is the other way around in samsung....otherwise w900i is good in multi tasking. But one thing i did not like abt w900i was that wen i used to type a message(or watch video) n wen i got a call, it wud just go to drafts(in case of video it wud completely be stopped). n not resume from there!
So has these things changed in A200 or not?
Btw, i hate ui of samsung as well...

the interface on samsungs has always been vastly more stable and reliable than any sony ericsson. SE have got a lot to learn from samsung.
i've always preferred the UI on samsungs because it does the job without any messing about.

multi tasking is the best in
any A200 phone can beat the other java phones of samsung, nokia and moto in terms of multi tasking
and that is one of the hallmarks of a good UI - to allow doing multi tasks without the clutter
oh yes, i completely forget about that ultra important point. if you can play java games whilst listening to Womans Hour on Radio 4, then nothing else about the UI matters.

Have you guys never used a G600??
It's the same interface, possibly with a few small updates, but the G600 was the first to have this rather sleek and cool new interface.
Realistically, it's pretty much the same phone spec wise, so I know what I'd have.
