Yeah, but AL3X, depends how old you are I guess. If your over 16 I think yeah, you do get given quite alot.

If that was a question to me, yeah i'm 16 atm......and yeah i do agree with you, my dad's recently promised me the car as hes soon getting another and i will be having the current one

My kids will be brought up the same way as me, therefore teaching them the value of money. Even if I was a millionare, I'd heavily limit what they get. I wouldn't just give in and buy them ponys and PS3's etc.

I know how you mean....i have been brought up having things bought for me if i'm stuck....and I sometimes rely on that now :s

James you may change your mind lol
im 30 coming August and theres no chance I want kids lol

btw I would be lucky if I got 10p when I was in school,
my mother was a single parent bringing up 2 kids,

we got treated bigtime at christmas though,
but I wouldn't ask my mom for stuff she couldn't give me.

she did buy me expensive trainers and I was the 1st kid with the Rewind Personal stereo in School lol

after I left school and got a job I bought everything for myself btw,
still get xmas pressies and stuff but birthdays nothing of my family

Yeah im 36 and i aint going to start having kids now. Got 2 nieces and 2 nephews thats fine for me. Back in the days of my younger years though im not old lol i used to get 30p pocket money Monday to Friday then on Saturday or when my dad got paid we would get 50p. Back in the eightes that was alot. Wow how times change eh. What you never had you never missed and you would never think of cheeking your parents asking for things. You get what you get they put a roof over your head give you food and send you to school then you go out into the real world and earn your crust. Life eh.

See thing is, I really want kids. My life plan, although I doubt it'll happen, is to be married with 2 kids by the time I'm 30 ish. It's just something I really want I guess

Well the times certainly have changed a lot, I guess! I turned 16 today and I have a K790 and a W800 (which I got when I was 13), and I'm not even close to the top of the food chain in my school! I know of 4 iPhones (which, mind you, are super expensive unlocked ones), an N95 8GB, an N95-3, a MOTORIZR Z8, so on and so forth.

Exactley Sean,
if you cheeked your mom back then you'd get a good hiding lol

I gotta admit i was a daddys little girl when i was a toddler I was spoilt rotten, anything I wanted I got in terms of toys lol

James, have you spoke to your partner does he also want kiddywinks?
i'd rather work my ass off and be able to buy anything I want for myself and have a nice home and be able to go on holidays thats all I want in
life

Your like me Kerry my favorite thing in life is travel i have travelled pretty well i would say. If i have at least once a year seen the sea which i love then im happy. I dont drink though i used to dont smoke dont drive not married no kids and love travel and gadgets. Lol. Love my freedom too much. But anyway even though my mother was a lovely person she was an Irish red head and you could not give her cheek when we were little. My parents said in their days they only had a cheap radio and no tv. You had to make your own entertainment more or less. Lol.
