Just leave the cats alone lol i'm sure they're more then happy, would be more stressful taking them out of the environment that they're used to.
The cats have a cold, how can you tell that, had mine for about 6 years and have never ever noticed him blowing his nose or anything

Cats are fine to be left alone in a flat while you're at work. I suspect that if where to set up a CCTV cam to watch them while you're away it would probably go down in history as one of the most boring recordings ever - they probably sleep all day and only get up to eat and poop.
My brother just got a rabbit and a kitten. Unfortunately the kitten finds the rabbits face fascinating, so much so that it won't stop attacking it. He's named them Alien and Predator.

You could always do what Mrs. Cyco does - take the cat out for a walk on a lead just like you would a dog!
Seriously, when the weather's nice we put a special cat harness and leash on him, pop him in his travel cage and take him to the park for a bit of fresh air, he loves it!
You get some strange looks from passers by but what the hell? My cat's welfare is more important than how silly I look!

It would walk beside me like a dog and as soon as we got to the local park it would run up the nearest tree and run around like mad. It never ran away too far either and always came when called.

We have 4 cats, they have their own personallitys and little quirks. Nola, she don't like going outside too much. Mouse is our youngest cat, he'll go out whatever the weather but always comes home every night. Holly just goes out for a poop then comes in, unless I go for a walk round the field behind our house, in which case she'll come with me like a dog. Molly, she'll dissappear for ages.. 3-4 days at a time when it's not too cold at night, she's also the crankiest and very vocal about it too, although she'll very rarely get her claws out.
We sometimes shut them out during the day and they don't seem bothered either way. I think they make great pets, and would advise getting one. Give it love and affection and you'll have a friend for life.

Now that is a great cat. Mine never took to the leash, so I could walk them.
