I think x60's are ok if it weren't for touch screen, dunno how many of you out there thinks the way I do, but I hate fingerprints or any mark for that matter on my screen. And to read the screen for hours at a time, it'll require me to clean the display everytime. As a p1i and pda user, I have developed using my nails or fingertip apposed to using the sylus, I know the stylus is mean to be used but it just feels easier with my porky fingers.

The specs aren't bad for the price, I guess, but personally I've gone off Acer recently after a couple of bad experiences!

What about the upcoming eee pc 9" ? that should be really cheap, cheap enough for you to buy bits for it, like upgraded ram 2gb max, hdd (top end model has 20gb so you can probably fit a 1.8" toshiba hdd in there) it's compact, think of the original eee pc but bigger screen.

heh the upcoming 9" models should address that. The asus reminds me of the superslim sony vaio's, if it were a sony we wouldn't be having this conversation.
