layout.xml should work fine with your wife's w300 if you upload it to the same directory again. As with the above k800 layout this is a layout.xml that I have modified so if it doesn't work just let me know, although I'm pretty sure it should work.
Edit: You need to remove the
W300 from the file name before uploading it in order for it to work. It should just be called
layout.xml

went into fsx
found tpa/system/layout
uploaded and replaced it with the new file
yes optus still on the screen???
have I missed anything sorry??

This time you will need to remove
k800 from the file name so it is simply called
layout.xml as before.

Now for the w300 - I've found the problem with how I modified the file and rectified this, the new file can be downloaded
here
Edit: You still need to remove the
w300 text in the file name (although you will have problem already though of that)
