For headset i use megabass, but for the loud speaker I have my menual eq which is all the bars on full lol.

AFAIK all it does is play both channels (left and right) through the mono speaker, if you have it off it only plays the right channel.

If you see songs in waveform view, you will notice that a stereo song's channels are not same on both side. Whereas a mono song's waveform is exactly same on both channels (i.e left and right are in phase).

So when you enable stereo widening, the dsp will enhance the difference on both channel to increase stereo separation. I hope you can understand?
