There's no innovation from anybody nowadays. Just about everything has been thought of. Unfortunately. This is why we don't see many higher spec'd phones today than we did one or two years ago.

Its true that their is no more innovation these days. Their is some but its not special enough to make notice of.
The reason for that is money, the phone makers are holding back so they can keep selling products.
A video projector (beamer) is something that should've been out some time ago, fuel battery's, phone buddy software (your phone will become personal and help you with anything you do personally), ...

the phone that was most innovatieve was the T68 followed by the P800, or the fully working prototype RX1

A technology whereby you can access another person's mobile files (ie pics, music) on your own phone through bluetooth. I remember when i first saw my friend accessing my files through his phone. I was thinking, dang that's crazy!

I think: Snap a photo and send it within like three clicks or something.

Ok, xenon flash was indeed a practical solution and a new concept on mobiles, but automatic lense cover on the K850? Pffh...it's just fancy more than anything, not a practical solution since you'd still have to wipe of the dust and grease from the outer lens. And dust and splash resistant mobiles is a recycled concept from one of the old Ericsson R-serie. Sorry, but there's no innovation in SE atm, period.

N91- 1st with a 4GB AND 8GB HDD + Audio enhancement chip making its sound quality better than most stand alone mp3 players + 3.5mm jack + Wi-Fi + 3G + An OS ALL IN ONE,thats innovation, not even the W910 or W960 can beat the N91 in sound quality.
N95- 1st with GPS + HSDPA + 5MP camera + fully working GPU + Dual slider etc. . . All in one.
N93- 1st with 3x optical zoom + VGA 30FP WITH Stereo audio recording (2mics) + camcorder design + TV Out all in one. the NOKIA N9x phones have brought in quite a lot of innovation.

I'd say they got quite close with M600/P1 dual function qwerty and how it was a solution to have a hard qwerty board on a relatively narrow body, but as real as it is, it just wasn't practical to some, one might say it's kinda niche in a way. IMO innovation shouldn't be something you'd have to get used to but rather a ready solution, like Samsung's dual SIM in 1 phone

We got ourselves a noob here.
while touchscreens have been arround for many years,t he navigation that apple used wasn't a first. The company that makes the Neonode phones used a similar way of navigation aswell.
