Well the W900 was discontinued a few months after release and it was a great device after a few FW updates. I got it a month or 2 after news broke out that it was discontinued, my network still had sum units.
W900 was discontinued because it cost SE more money to make it than what they were making of it

@QVGA
Not quite sure that is 100% right.
I'm not suggesting the Wikipedia article on the W900i is gospel by any means, however, it says the W900i was ' Pulled from the market despite its success', which would suggest it was withdrawn prematurely for a reason other than a financial / sales one.

Sorry for dragging OT.

Yea Marty ok, sometimes was very hard to across over troubles on k850i and wait for service time etc, but
now i'm glad to give a chance to S.e.
After 10 years on Ericsson, ericsson deserve chance.
Btw i hate nokia, and i'm on S.e.
like at home if you understand?
And the best in that story is service was free of charge on official service point by international warranty (i was buy my k850i on black market)
AND how can i hate s.e. at the end?
Now i have good enough phone for taking picture for listening music etc
Cheers, NHF, sorry for my bad english.

They don’t discontinue the W810i which is more than 2/3 years old but they did it to K850i. Does it mean to you anything?
But K850i is far better than W890i IMO.

Sorry for dragging OT.
What other reason can there be to shelve your top end phone?

The K850i is a god of a phone. It is something special, everything about it's perfect. I love it's touch screen buttons, and the glossy finish, it feels so nice when you hold it. and looks nice when freshly polished. Why would you go for the W890? I mean, that's really not that better, OK it's advertised as a Walkman phone, big deal the sound quality is the same as the K850i same with the layout of the media player. Oh wow they get a short cut button, K850i has one on the left touch button. But you'd expect that much from a Walkman phone. A Cyber-shot phone e.g.K850i has a dedicated On/Off switch which you can use when the phone is locked.
Anyway it is such a lovely phone, and if they discontinued it (has this been proved?) It just makes it a rare phone, like the W900i. The K850i is better then all SE phones out there (apart from the C905, but ah ha, that's not out yet) C902 is rubbish, C702 don't even get me started what's the point in it. The K850i to sum up, beats all SE Phones currently on the market. That's the truth, just face it.

So yeah get the K850i It's an amazing phone!

K850 is FAAR from "same as w960"... You can't compare those 2... W960 is smartphone and totally different in OS and performance compared to K850... W960 has better processor power, A LOOT more RAM memory, bigger screen (touch sensitive too)...
