5800 is not even out yet.. Begin of the next year.. Still prototypes out there..
After use of my friends G900, I have no much to say, but I would stay away from it..

Sorry, the tubeŽs UI is just normal s60 v3 + touch...it does not look made for TS...calling that good looking...
And the screen just does not respond...
But, the specs are indeed great, and so is the prices...iŽll give you that....
However, i would choose UIQ 3.3 over that any day, and what would come next (UIQ4)...well...no contest at all

its quite hilarious how you can right off S60 5th edition with an OS that will see the light of day when my grand children will have their grand children. By the time UIQ 4 comes( which i doubt considering how obsolete it currently is) nokia would have heavily upgraded their touch S60.
And if through some miracle UIQ 4.0 is shown the light of day, it would take SE probably 1-2 phones to release a fully working not-a-pain-in-the-ass version of a UIQ 4 running phone.

I tried a proto Nokia and found it like any old Nokia. It looks quite nice but if people think its like iPhone, they are very wrong. There are many menus and sub menus so buttons would have been better. I will say that the hardware is really nice, it has very good specs and the UI will be sufficient for most.
UIQ is a lot more friendly to be honest but it is a bit bland. The UIQ concepts are nice but still only concepts. They need to do more with UIQ 3.3 to make it look better than S60.
Nokia is following current trends which is why it will be successful. Good camera, good touchscreen, good sound, can do complex tasks, good price; its the hardware that the iPhone should have.
UIQ can only satisfy old skool guys like myself and sadly, that won't do these days.

Well it may be dead. Stop atacking ares

. UIQ is great platform even if some people are talking it is dead. I have also heard that the next X series

phones may be UIQ ones, so there is still hope for that great platform.

i haven't really used a uiq deivce before. the old p900 of my friend works fine but i heard the p990 is bug ridden. i do hope that if ever SE will release another uiq device, it will be much more stable in terms of firmware when they release it.

P900 was a legend. P990 was meant to be it's successor but it's full of problems due to low RAM memory in it. P1 and other folowing smartphones like W960, G700 or G900 are running great.

I am using P1 on latest firmware, and it is bug free. Haven't got any problems with it at all.
