SE X1 is already a WinM phone!
Some people would preffer a Symbian like nokia's one because of higher resolution and colors,WM is limited to 65k...
WM 7 won't be limited to 65k, I think.

Deep down I guess we all knew it was coming, but to know it's actually happening... it's still sad news for us to deal with.

Awe, Mizzle. Don't be so sad. UIQ was an 11yr old that has been terminally ill for a long time. However the spirit - SE's communicator fighter - will live on in the WinMO & S60/Symbian Foundation OS versions of the Xperia lineup.
I'm beginning to entertain the idea that SE created the P1i as a way to show investors and fans/buyers that they still make high-end smartphone lineup; even though Xperia was already in development.
So SE will be moving mid-tier to high-tier to Andriod, then WinMO for corporate focused until Andriod gets major support ... hmm.
If current market trends continue through 2009 WinMo will have a serious time if large corporations get further financially get a low-blow hit in the coffers. Exchange Server license renewals will have issues, along with Server 2008 upgrades will stave off due to pricing; while Domino on Linux (already works for 2yrs+ on SUSE) and Andriod take up the corporate market - and possibly with Open Document support (already there in Domino, Notes v8) on Andriod if it shows up will give Andriod & LiMo Foundation some serious speed in uptake. If the current world market trends pickup for much better by mid-'09 its possible that Andriod will shallow out.
Something in me says Andriod - although good - won't get the uptake more than what LiMo has been able to with Motorola for the past 6yrs.

Anyway SE is lacking large touch screen phones at reasonable price like the nokia 5800,Xperia is nice but too much oriented to business managers,perhaps it's because of IUQ problems and what platform they will choose instead of it

@vegetaleb
WM isn't limited to 65k colour displays.

Moment of silence in the Symbian thread perhaps?
