somehow the first mod you did seems good. but the next one, I have to admit the original looks better - too much exposure - and the last pic are horrible lots of yellow-blue-green even red line!

yes l have to say that pictures are now over 1mb and they show little or none difference so...only good thing perhaps is that in normal exposure 0+ or -1 pictures taken inside and pictures of faces and people seams good...l will wait until update for my country come to the air and update the phone...for now current version of firmware is xxxxx64.

the modded cam driver is claimed to have lower compression hence higher picture's bytes. I've tried it but resulting my cam resetting to main menu when pressing the camera button.

I don't think modded camdriver interfere with updating newest firmware cause the fw will just simply overwrite everything and you have to port the modded driver again if preferred.

since you living area are neighboring me, i assume the latest firmware is still unavailable in Asean region, most people updated here are from Europe region. guess we'll have to patiently wait...

there is little noise in the red, very juicy pics

Here reduce the compression of pictures (500kb -> 1MB):

Code:

# SET_REG_8 (02, 04, 01) / / Set JPEG Compression Quality (REG: JPG_QLTY)
# SET_REG_8 (5A, 02, 06) / / Set JPEG header (REG: JPG_FMT)
# SET_REG_8 (5A, 04, 00) / / Set JPEG header (REG: JPG_FMT)
# SET_REG_8 (00, 14, 01) / / Set output frames Num (REG: CAPNUM)
# SET_REG_16 (03, 54, 05, DC) / / Set JPEG data limit: 1.5M (REG: PRED_UPPER_SIZE_LIMIT1)
/ / # SET_REG_16 (03, 56, 03, 20) / / Set JPEG data limit (REG: PRED_UPPER_SIZE_LIMIT2)

corrected to:

Code:

# SET_REG_8 (02, 04, 02) / / Set JPEG Compression Quality (REG: JPG_QLTY)
# SET_REG_8 (5A, 02, 06) / / Set JPEG header (REG: JPG_FMT)
# SET_REG_8 (5A, 04, 00) / / Set JPEG header (REG: JPG_FMT)
# SET_REG_8 (00, 14, 01) / / Set output frames Num (REG: CAPNUM)
# SET_REG_16 (03, 54, 0F, A0) / / Set JPEG data limit: 1.5M (REG: PRED_UPPER_SIZE_LIMIT1)
/ / # SET_REG_16 (03, 56, 03, 20) / / Set JPEG data limit (REG: PRED_UPPER_SIZE_LIMIT2)
