I have been using mobipocket as enews reader, ebook reader and doc reader and happy with it so far (except for the support ). I have developed some channel for my local news as well.
I didn't encounter the problem u mentioned, but hope i can figure that out for u.
chris and peanut, did the pre-installed enews channels for u?
when subsrcibing new channel, u will be prompt to register at the web site (its free tho). did that happen?
and which channels u found not working?

ok, i just encountered the same problem as u guys when i am trying to develop my channels. My problem is I included dot (.) in my channel ID and enews file name so they look like, e.g.
http://www.yahoo.com.enews and
http://www.yahoo.com.xsl. It's seems that somehow web companion can't or refuse the get the files. I solved the problem when I changed them to like yahoo.enews and yahoo.xsl.
so, um, still not sure how u get the problem
and ur using version 4.6, right?
and do u use proxy to access Internet? if so, u gotta set this in configuration

Any news of Avantgo yet anyone?
(Oh, and to pre-empt any smart arse comments, there are two reasons I'm after this rather than using a browser - first it's free to download from my PC, second I can't surf when I'm on the underground for half an hour on my way home from work.)

Time to revive this thread! Where is Avantgo for the P800? Both the 3650 and the 7650 has their, why not the P800???
I used it a lot on my iPaq, and I find myself using GPRS a lot more without it...
