Hi people! Use variable bitrate MP3 encoding instead of constant bitrate.

What's the advantage in using VBR?, does it save space?

i use mp3pro can fit about 25 mins onto 16mb duo when encoded at a bitrate of 64, is perfect when u have a few minutes to kill. Still in need of 128mb duo. Has anyone tried putting anything like an episode of friends on it yet, what r the results with p800 playback?

Do you need a special encoder to create MP4 Video?

From what i've read up on, the P800 will play MP3pro music like all MP3 players will - but because it doesn't support the MP3pro improvements, the extra information is not used to improve the sound quality. Therefore playing a 64kbit MP3pro is like playing a 64kbit MP3 - no difference.

Thanks guys for your sure help on this subject, is there any way to put mp3 music into my memory stick duo for my p800 without having a pc? and of course not going to wap, cause it might be so expensive, and for a mac user any idea as well? regards
