I havent had a single problem with my T68i since i bought it in mid 2002. For some who says that the screen doesnt work well in sunlight, I live in Singapore where there's a whole lot of sunlight and could still see the screen clearly. My T68i also got ran over by a construction truck on the road once and fell 6 storeys once and still no problem. A few of my friends that witnessed the T68 falling bought it too and since then never used Nokia again. The hp had chips and some hairline cracks at the edges so I just recently changed it to the new dark grey cover. As for dropped calls, it didnt happen to me every once.

I still think the T68i is still 1 of the best hp in the market if you don't mind the 256 colors, monophonics and no java capabillities. I'm still using the T68 to compose tones for my T610 and T630 as I find using monos louder than polys.

When I went on hols to USA, I lost singnal about 3 times with my T68i. In the UK, the only place i can't get orange signal is 1.Harfield and 2. Ascot! I moved from oragne to Virgin and now I get perfect sinal in 99.9% of areas!

t68 on t-mobile in the UK

Absolutely shocking service, the frequent 'no access' problem. Combination of t-mobile rubbish signal and phone problems.

First phone broke after roughly 3 months, the yes/no/power on/off button was intermittent then died altogether.

Second phone had same signal problems, some days the phone would lock up and say no access, texts would take hours to come through as would voicemails, defeating the object of having the phone

When I purchased, at the time it was one of the few decent phones which had bluetooth, gprs, colour screen etc. Not a bad phone really in itself but the problem was annoying, even after several complaints to t-mobile they would never offer a different phone, was always back to the service centre.

On renewal they even wanted £20 for a t610 which every provider is literally giving them away with accessories (including t-mobile themselves but you can't port the number internally)

My experience with t-mobile and a t68i was not a pleasant one, was a good job t-mobile recently increased their line rental by £1 a month, as it gave a get out clause, easy way to cancel the contract and go elsewhere (now happy with a z600 on o2

I have read/heard all kind problems about all mobile phones. As T68i was (is) one of the most popular phone, there is more opportunities to everykind opinions and also problems.

I like my T68i and I'm happy with it

@ chris-sf - Tmobile are just shocking full stop. I've had two nokia's on them and the signal was appauling in both cases. So its not the T68(i). Tmobile is just a awful network with hardly any coverage and high prices for a crap service.

Yep, had a T68i on T-Mobile for a while and the c*nting thing spent half the time helpfully showing "No Access" on the screen.

This was not a solely network problem, as putting my chip into another phone worked fine, same with putting chips of other networks into the T68i; no problems.

Apparently it's a problem with the way the phone handles the GSM1800 band, coupled with some dodgy manouevres over at T-Mobile.

I too have used the itemised billing charge get-out clause to cancel my T-Mobile contract and sign up for a nice Orange value promise one, matching T-Mobile's Everyone 500 off-peak. Just as well seeing as just the other week I upgraded the T68i to a T610 for free and renewed my T-Mobile contract for another 12 months.

Shove that up yer T-Zones you basts!
