i think some of the smart@$$ tech nerds did not clearly understand your post and they think it is another SE bashing and degrading to them. they got hurt and so this thread got out of hand. also they are downgrading the guys who do not know anything about technology. personally i liked siemens better than SE like in build quality so sx1 my next phone too. so what if ericsson thought of bluetooth. it did not help them increasse their sales, they still lost big money up to now. they still do not realize that only a small percentage of phone buyers are tech nerds who want a high tech device while the huge significant others only prefer a simple to use phone. you will not profit that way and that's why nokia is still no.1. ericsson was ahead but other companies soon caught up with them but they still went to sony for help. it's like bosch invented the electronic fuel injection but toyota r&d just built a better one for their engines.

Hi freeloader, strange... mine doesn't have those slow response problem that you are experiencing... did you went to the SE service centre for a check-up prior to your giving up of the phone?

As for the screen problem, if you take a look at NK 7650/3650 and P800's specs, you will notice that P800 is 208 x 320 resolution whereas the other 2 are just 176 x 208, and they all use the same amount of colour, ie, 4096. So, how can you expect the P800, which is almost 30% bigger in terms of screen size than that of the 2 NK to be better in terms of colour management? Also, P800s are using touchscreen technology, and the NK are not, so one just simply cannot compare these 2 different technologies just like that.

Btw, have you upgraded your phone to R2D? From my personal comparison, R2D really did improved quite a bit on pictures quality too, not just the image fix for java apps, but for real human jpg pics too

I am not talking about who is trying to make money here. I am just stating the facts that technology needs to be understood and learned of how to use and implement before 1 can truly appreciate its advantages. As I've earlier mentioned, technology its always there, but its just not for any tom, dick and harry to meddle with, as even IT guys like us need to play around with it for some time, before we can understand and appreciate it, not to mention those who know nuts about it Or u can state it the other way round, say, if you are a businessman who makes millions, if not, billions of $$$ a year, and you go ask some tom, dick and harry to draw up a proposal for the next fiscal year, to say, make another $10 million. Do you think every1 can do it? I personally could tell you that I can't cos I know nuts about business!

@350z: Yes, I had my P800 right after the New Year this year. I got my T68 during the last week of October 2001. So you have now an idea what an eager fan I am of Ericsson!

I still have the P800 with me though. And I did not regret buying a Pocket PC Phone Edition. Any other phone would pale in comparison - including the P800!

i did not imply anything of the sort. i think what i posted is basically simple and true. the simple fact and reason why nokia is still numero uno. they base their phones on simple technology to understand and being user friendly. most phone manufacturers are copying nokia's style. SE decided to go against the flow so they paid dearly and lost a lot of money. no businessman would ask a john, paul, george or ringo to make a portfolio for him even though they do not know anything about it. simple to use technology in laymans terms are more attractive to a non-tech user.
