I've just noticed on Cesinc website that "QuickPoint" is now available for Nokia 3650/7650.
I'd love to get my hands on "QuickOffice for P800"

The developers should ensure that Word and Excel documents can be password protected to avoid anyone playing around with the phone opening a confidential document.

I would definitely buy such application! I really miss the editing part on the files I'm using everyday!

Hehe...
Maybe they won't consider it, or they are already doing so, but i think they will make quicklaunch for UIQ, since there are more devices coming with it...
They are just worried that they won't have enough buyers if they make it for UIQ
But..... " For how long do we have to wait?? "
We just have to keep on nagging them ;D

I know that the P800 can read Word and Excel files straight away, but the Nokia 9210 could read and write/edit files straight out of the box. Shouldn't we be emailing SE as well to see if they plan to develop this?
Although there is a market for a high-end editor with loads of features, I would have hoped that there would have been a basic editor - I'm using Jtext at present...
(OK, I know the 9210 does not compete head on to the P800 as I upgraded from one to the other and the P800 wins hands-down, but the one thing the 9210 could do, and could do well was edit these types of files. Then again, the P800 can read PDFs as welll...)

I don't think it would help to write to SE, they will just tell you that maybe a software developer will make it :/
It's a pitty that they haven't put it in the p800 from the start, but one thing is for sure, and that is: They won't make it now.
