The US is way behind at this point. But large companies like ATT are building up they're GSM/GRPS networks fast and are starting to offer it in most major cities. The problem is that the country is so vast that it's going to cost untold billions to cover half of it with GSM/GRPS networks.
So if I travel off a major road or away from a large city my new GSM mobile is worthless. Meanwhile CDMA coverage is everywhere (as are cheap or free Nokia CDMA phones).

oh i don't know the status from euro, is asia ahead of euro?
by the way i heard my friend said that she already got a motorola v70 at Hong Kong.
i saw the v70 in hong kong last month. must be one of the ugliest and most impractical phones i've ever seen, with a tiny ugly screen, not many features (not even triband), and it cost more than twice as much as the t68 (i got my unlocked t68m there for 3000 HK$, about US$380, and the v70 was selling in the 6-7000 HK$ range... what a ripoff)

I'm Thai. As I know Ericsson launch their new stuffs in Europe before Asian. But for Nokia, they launch their new phone in Asia ,especially in Hongkong and Singapore, before any other places. And nokia also have some phone selling only in Asia. I think this is because asia seems to be one of the biggest consumer market and because of asian extravagancy.

Japan is so far ahead of anywhere else it hurts.
The new Foma 2012 has 2 Cameras, one on the front, one on the back, so you can video confrenence yourself as well as what you're looking at. Or you can get the 'N' Version which has 1 camera on the back, but two colour screens, so you can see yourself when you're taking a picture.
It has 2 lights to go with the cameras so they work in the dark, it has a mini-SD flash card slot, so you can upgrade it to 512mb storage. It has proper speakers built in so you can hear handsfree properly, play mp3s and mpeg videos. And I'm not sure how it works, but I think you can watch TV on the thing. Basically this phone ROCKS and I want one
