It is nice to know that Sony Ericsson adds memory space to T610. However, such action is TOO SLOW!!! They should add the memory space before the launch... Please see the case of 7250. Official release said 725KB at first, but the commercial unit has over 4MB! It it too unfair to the buyers of the first batch's T610.
If the news is false:
It is normal, and I think it is a marketing tactic. If Sony Ericsson makes a perfect phone, how can they make money by releasing new phones??? But of course, as we are consumers, we want a perfect phone which need not we change the phone again shortly. Anyway, I think I will sell my T610 soon.

If the box/manual says 2MB on the same place. That could mean that there will be newer T610s later on with more memmory. But i think the 4MB is the total memmory of the mobile, including the software and unremovable files.
Check the firmware and hardware version, maybe there are allready newer versions on the market, with the sound hissing fixes and stuff like that.
