Hi

I tried to cancel my voda retail account today due to the fact i had 4 exchanges of T610's but they were having none of it.
They exchanged it again today for the 5th time and this time they got it right.
It is a w21 with R3A.
Louder than the software fixed t610.
Hiss free, nice and loud, perfection at last.
They also said that don't worry if this one hisses as they will keep changing it until it is right.
The only thing i have noticed is that the screen is ever so slightly darker but that is no problem as i just cranked the contrast up by 1,
but the colours seem more vivid on this one as well and the blue light behind the buttons is a much nicer shade of blue as well.

once i heard that hissing sound from the speaker from the other model phones (which was a soft electric buzz-like tone). It jus freaked me out.
I mean if your gonna pay money for this phone, u should stay away from those t610 model phones. There's some crafty people here in NY trying to sell it for around $600-$700...

All you UKers' should stop 'putting up' with the hissing now - just received my T610 back from Celestia, the hiss is totally gone and the volume is at the original level (they've done a hardware fix, my rear label has moved very slightly).

Best part of all - they actually did as promised and did a 24hr turnaround. Sent it on thursday evening, received it back about an hour (sat 8.30am) ago by courier.

@simion_levi: did they also upgrade the firmware while they had it?

Errm, may have done - but there's only the one public release version out currently, R1A081 - so if they did, they'll have just flashed the same software over the top. (I'm thinking they didn't bother since still got all contacts etc - they could've backed it all up first, but i doubt they would've done!)
