I still think its not a problem at all and its now starting to be hyped a bit by a few who are perhaps a little paranoid. Well perhaps paranoid isn;t the word I am looking for but you know what I mean... fussy?, perfectionist? I dunno...

Dont know the technical aspects, but it does sometime irritate when you play games. Maybe they could take care of it with the new units they are producing?

Well, consider this:
The phone has a screen that normal people are not very capable at looking at it...
Even though, it's just a phone, you make calls, then you put it away. Why worry so much?

Buying Nokia just because you got some problems with

is like
ledning money from hells angels if you got bank problems... you
will just endup painfully regretting yourself

I certainly aint being fussy mate, but the fact is every other phone I've ever owned has not had this flickering. Why should I put up with it when no other phone does it ??!! I'm not the sort of person to pay £300 for a phone, find it does something it shouldn't, and then just put up with it ??
If you bought a brand new car and the wheels wobbled slightly, would you take it back to the garage ?? Of course you would. You've paid your money and you want the thing to work as it should. Its attitudes like "I'll just put up with it" that manufacturers love cos it saves them money.

It would be intresting to see what a

servicepoint have to say
about it. Could be something they need to fix.

@demon106:
I'm not suggesting put up with it I am suggesting its hardly worth worrying about. I have not even seen this flicker on my month old unit and I am just surprised if it was such an issue that it has not been commented on before. The hissing was picked up pretty quickly.
It seemed to me that this thread was collecting pace towards being a bit OTT and I had hoped to calm it down a bit.
If it really is such a problem has anyone actually spoken to SE about it and if so what is their reply?
Appologies if any offence was taken because it wasn't meant.

GET A GRIP GUYS, sheesh some ppl can NEVER be satisfied..
- Its known that no AC charger can give a totally smooth current. (otherwise it woudl be very expensive to produce)
- The T610's STN screen is a LOT more responsive than any other STN screens i have seen.
- Current fluctuations + responsive STN screen = flicker...
- SOLUTION: Replace the nice fast STN screen with a less responsive STN screen that ghosts, and shadows a lot more, like on the T68, and 7210..
YEAH RIGHT any one of you whiners are gonna do that!
Look the screen doesnt flicker when not charging, so my point is prooven, and what woudl u prefer a fast responsive screen, that ONLY flickers when PLAYING GAMES (loads of redraws per second) and when CONNECTED to an AC charger.... or a crappy STN screen that ghosts like hell..
Stop moaning, and enjoy yr phoen rather than diss it..

I mean there is a flickering but less noticing.
But my question is:
Why do the screensavers play so slowly on the screen?
