You have R1A firmware and your phone was manufactured on the 19th week of 2003. These are separate things.

By the way, one can have a phone flashed with the same firmware as the one already installed in his phone. It is not necessary that a new, upgraded version has been released. This is what I did to my phone; I had it flashed with R1A standard version. Once again I must point out that the SE people told me that there was only one software version on their server, the standard one.

panic over for me, just picked up my T610 from the Carphonewarehouse and there is no Vodafone crap on the cover (so I guess there won't be vodafone live! crap software)

so as far as I know Carphone are selling T610s on vodafone without Live! customisation for the moment....

got it as a new contract.

Went down to shop yesterday to sign up, and they said they would get one for me next day.
Imagine my delight to see them produce a plain sonyericsson box
As far as I know they don't have any in stock they order them on demand (this is in Bath btw).

Currently, SE can not overwrite the vodaphone firmware with the generic firmware. EMMAII wont allow it.

These people are selling the R1A firmware that SE can install on your phone for free, and at their risk, not yours! I do not see any innovation there!

Well, my Vodafone software was certainly overwritten to a great extent, at on official SE center, and EMMA allowed this because "she" had no alternative solution!

I sure hope that noone of you guys implies that I made up any part of my story! In the widely respected http://www.unwired.gr forum there are many testimonies of T610 owners who had their phones flashed n Greece. The language though is Greek.

There's hope! Hoorah! Logos unlimited looks like my best bet. All I need now is a data cable... *sigh*

My SE came in a plain Sony Ericsson box, too. Moment of vague hope... until the woman at Voda shop put horrible Vodafone Live! slide-cover over it and I knew I was doomed
