Hi,
I was thinking of using sonyericssonsserver.com to get rid of the
cr@p Vodafone Live "enhancements" on my T610. I own a serial data cable that was sold for a T68. Will this work for the upgrade? The web site says that you need a T28 cable. Am I right in thinking that it's the same cable throughout the complete SonyEricsson T** range?

You must use a T28 data cable. The T68 data cables are different and will not allow you to flash the phone. I've used SonyEricssonServer.com, and the phone flashed fine. You can pick up a T28 data cable on E-Bay for about £5.00 in the UK.

as far as i can see, the firmware will be standard seeing as it doesnt change the branded nonsense (thats such as odd word)

What kind of specifications must the cable have? Is it enough that it supports the M-bus?
Can anyone give me a link to an E-bay auction so I can see what kind of cable that will work?

I have flashed/unbranded a Vodafone crīppled Z600 and upgraded FW on three T68's, one T39m, one R520s and one T610 so far, using DIV/Terminator dongle and i'm quite convinced that soon it will be possible to unbrand the 'K' models too. Let's hope i'm right..
