@olsbad : I guess it has to do with your browser or a specific setting... try a different browser.

@anish : your greek is fine, i would be very glad when i have the link to the hindi songs... and for your suggestion i will consider it, the only problem is i need a briefcase style site (it's a lot more easier for managing that kind of content) with lots of space and no daily/monthly traffic limits.

@janahan : I think they had some sound problems while they were performing, the songs was good in my opinion, but when it comes to contests like eurovision there are a lot more things than the song itself that count...(politics, alliances etc)

Hi again faithless,

Your wav files (those alphaville) are shown on GoldWave as 44kHz Mono, is that true? However, when i created some wav files in IMa 44kHz Mono, I found that the file size are double of those u made (comparing wav of similar duration). Any idea? Plz help!

@SonyForever :
It has to do with the encoding cause when i made my first ringtones i was using the GSM 6.10 encoding in some of them. I discovered thought that it lacks the quality i wanted so i turned to IMA ADCPM.

Thx faithless.

But i wonder if u can get better quality by convert from GSM6.1 to IMA becos some details had already lost when saved as GSM6.1 format.

wav ---> GSM6.1 ---> IMA 44kHz 4Bit ( should be same quality as GSM6.1)
wav ---> IMA 44kHz 4Bit (should give better quality than the above)

@SonyForever : What you describe is called transcoding and it results in loss of quality (not to mention bigger file sizes). I didn't though mention that i encode with GSM and then with IMA ADPCM, what i mentioned was that my first ringtones were made using GSM, but due to quality limitations i started using IMA in my next ones...

@olsbad & dane & anyone with problem dowloading the ringtones : Since Internet Explorer messes things up easily you could try to use a reliable, small, fast and free browser called "Opera". http://www.opera.com
