The Amiga 500 was indestructable! Had coffee/water/biscuits dropped inside it and is still alive 12 years later.

just take it do the phone shop that has a repair centre, have it checked, there shouldnt been anything wrong with it, as it didnt fall in the glass, or then you could have said bye bye to your phone. happened to me on T68i fell in water I open the phone dried it cleaned it work fine for a month then it died of CORROSION on the board ...RIP... now replace by T610

As soon as you send your phone to a repair centre and they see any trace of water, they won't even look any further, i am glad my phone is insured for that....

I just walked into carphone warehouse and explained the lemon juice dilema. They said my phone is a write off, they wouldnt touch it!!!
Basically, they cant guarantee the work they would do on it would solve any problems, indefienately.
Then she asked if i was insured - i nearly threw the phone at her - LOL
ah well - i may be sitting on a time bomb, or i may be lucky and my phone will be just fine!
by the way Carphone warehouse sent me a £50 voucher for my T610, because the cost of the phone dropped from £300 to £250 on the 1st july (goodwill gesture) - nice one!
so, the moral of the story is - drink tooth kind lemon juice (i.e no sugar) - LOOOL

I freak these days if anyone carries or puts a drink anywhere near my phone, pc, organiser etc!

I've got such a good story for you guys... (when I still had my t68i)
So one day I went swimming, so usually I carry my phone and never put it in my pocket, but this time I was in my swimsuit and had the phone in the pocket... Now without thinking (as I usually do) I jumped into the pool, did 2 laps and then sat by the stairs.
Then I look down into the water and on the bottom stair I see my t68i underwater switching from the backup/inactive screen into the clock.
After shreiking in horror and rushing to get it I pull it out and remove the battery. So I let it dry for half a day and retried to use it... no luck the phone still wouldn't start ! Now I was really getting woried if I would plug in the charger the charging light would turn momentarily red and then switch off like there was a short circuit.
So now I decided to try and use the spare battery of my mom ! Tadaa it worked ! Now understanding that it must have been my battery I turned it over and saw that the contacts were rusted, so after scraping them a bit (making them shiny again), it worked with the original 'wet' battery too !
Ok, so I was happy then until the next day, somebody pushed me into a fountain !!! (no luck huh guys). Except this fountain was a bit dirty with dirt & mud, etc... confidient my phone would pull through I let it dry for a few hours, and miraculously it turned on, however there was some marks behind the screen, which eventually dissapeared in the weeks to come...
And then right after that i've gotten my t610 which hasn't had an expericence with water... yet
And I have to say all of this happened after one night in which i was reading a forum on how waterproof the t68i was in comparision to other phones !

I managed to drop my t65 down the toilet (clean) once I had removed it and ran it under the cold tap and then under the hand dryer and wraped it in a cloth, I went to the nearest carphone warehouse and bought a t68i.
Once I got home I dismantled my t65, washed all of the componants and left it in a warm place to dry dismantled, after about eighteen hours a reassembled it and it worked I was mort shocked, though th up button was inoperative so I removed the contact matrix and cleaned the contacts, and eight months later it still works fine (crosses fingers).
