> Radar gifs on a wap page, is it possible?
Bookmark topic
Hey there again!
I changed the link to the one you wrote. It still does nothing. I can't understand why. I tried again with my T610 and it will only show the border of the image without anything else ;-(
I tried both ways: with "weight/height" attributes and without them - both show the same.
Dean.
p.s. I remember that I had this problem with my T68. I created some wap pages with embeded pictures which I used with my old R600 - and they will show in the wap page. Once I tried the same with a bit bigger and colorfull images my T68 refused to show them - I had to make a link to the gif/jpeg file, otherwise I won't be allowed to download it. May be the same is with T610.. The wap browser won't show pictures in its window - I mean images which do not comply with a resolution/size definition that I'm unaware of. Sorry ;-(
---> I just checked again: this time it LOADED but just 30%... the other 70% of the image was damaged. I added a link in the same page and my phone downloaded the picture and saved it in MyPictures (it took about 50KB internal memory vs. 26KB reported - have in mind it is a compressed JPEG)
I'm sorry.. this is the best I can do.

Thanks for the effort Dean, I really appreciate it, I will do some more research to find if there is any way this can possibly be done, I would think that if this could be done, that there would be more people interested than just me...I also found that accuweather.com will send mms of radar gifs, but for 50 cents per message! Ouch! That could add up fasts, anyhow, thanks again...

@tarponfly:
If I can find an ASP/VBScript applet designed to resize GIF/JPEG files on the fly I could make it work for you. I will search on that.
