And think about the pricing, the n-gage will surely cost more than the GBA so fewer will be sold. And game makers wouldn't want to invest in a small market. Then software selectoin will be limited. It's a vicious cycle.

Nokia made a gamble but it's a sensible wager in the right direction. They just have to take on the big guys. We just have to wait for the big companies like Nintendo and Sony to release similar products and the n-gage is history. Sorry for being so cruel to the little fella'.

P800 is directly compared to 3650.Let's see if you compare forthcoming 6600 with p800.You gave 800 euros and you have the best mobile.Congratulations. This message was posted from a Nokia

Hmm.. Has anyone here actually read the E3 reports about the N-Gage or seen it in action?

I have. Contrary to what others have said, it's not as powerful as a PSone. Judging by the various ports juddering along with dodgy framerates, I'd guess it has about 60-70% the power of a PSone.

The games so far look poor, and framerates are shocking (Tomb Raider *does not* run 'like on the PSone' as someone put it.)

Also $299.99 is not cheap and could be the downfall of the machine. $199.99 or less would have been the more sensible option. (even if they have to make a loss on the hardware sold)

The reaction of the press and attendees at the E3 was also not good, the general feeling is that Nokia simply doesn't have a clue.

The N-Gage is looking doomed from the start.

From what i heard and saw from E3 reports it stinks. It is a poor phone with a poor phone function. Its downfall is having to take the battery out to switch the Memory cards. performance wise it is no where near the power of ps1. Probably a bit more powerful than the p800 in the graphical processing dept. The phone will probably sell like hot cakes to the young uns if its released on PAYG with subsided costs. I dont see it being a good phone. Nice try nokia.

And has anyone seen the battery life of the N-Gage? It's laughable to call it a handheld console when it canes the battery quicker than the Game Gear went through 6 AA's.

An upgrade of p800 will transform it to a screen of 65k colours? You mean software upgrade?Or a different hardware phone?I really doubt for the first one,the second would be a real let down for users of p800.I dont know about p900 though. But as far as i know,6600 will be more powerfull than 3650.
